The China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, was founded in 1957 and is held in Guangzhou twice a year in spring and autumn. It is the fair in China that has the longest history, largest scale, most complete variety of commodities, most buyers attending and the largest distribution in countries and regions. It is a comprehensive international trade event with the best transaction results and the best reputation. As one of the leading steel suppliers in China, Jiuzhou Metal would never miss such meaningful and influential event that can empower the company in different aspects.

The 136th Canton Fair is held in Guangzhou in three phases from October 15 to November 4, 2024, and Jiuzhou Metal was classified in the first phase held from October 15 to 19. This year's Canton Fair has the theme of "Serving high-quality development and promoting high-level opening up". There are more than 30,000 on-site exhibitors, including about 29,400 export companies. New enterprises, new products, new technologies, and new business formats were emerging in large numbers. 

The five-day exhibition saw a remarkable amount of visitors from all over the world, such as Brazil, the UAE, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and India. A broad range of common steel products were showcased at the exhibition, including galvanized color-coating products, stainless steel products, and carbon steel products. Our client specialist team dealt with a large number of business inquiries on the spot, with color-coated coil and galvanized coil accounting for the majority of the products mentioned. At the end, we managed to exchange contact info with more than 260 businesses across the globe, and most of them have expressed willingness to purchase from us sometime in the future.

Speaking of the orders signed by clients from the fair so far, there have been quite a few already. A client from Bangladesh has placed an order for 50 tons of galvanized coil while one from Turkey purchased 27 tons, with proforma invoices having been issued for both orders. What is more inspiring was that one client from Myanmar even went to the trouble of travelling a long distanceto visit our company and factory in person, and fortunately turned out to be really impressed with everything about Jiuzhou Metal! He eventually put aside his concerns and placed an order for 112 tons of color-coated coil. And this order is currently in the middle of production.

Overall speaking, this year’s Canton Fair was of great significance to Jiuzhou Metal, not only in terms of building valuable connections with new businesses. It also helped us lay a solid foundation for how the company gets equipped for the changes and challenges to rise in the upcoming 2025!
